Emma’s journey began with Scottish Fire and Rescue, where she developed the foundations of her emergency response skills. She then progressed into a youth programme with Street League Ayrshire, taking part in a volunteer first aid scheme that further strengthened her passion for event medical care. Emma later moved into private event medical work, gaining broad experience across a variety of events.
After six years working with different medical providers, Emma co-founded her own private medical company with Ryan in 2021. Since then, she has attended and delivered medical cover at numerous events and has acted as Control for major events across Scotland, including Pride Glasgow and events at Hampden Park. One of her proudest roles has been leading medical operations at one of her favourite venues, Rugby Park. Emma is also the main backbone of Operation SafeKillie, making a small idea become a reality.

Ryan Quinn
Ryan’s first aid journey began at just 12 years old when he joined a cadet volunteer first aid scheme. After seven years of volunteering, he progressed into the role of Community First Responder (CFR) with the Scottish Ambulance Service, while continuing to work within private event medical services alongside this role.

He also received a Brave @ heart Award from Nicola Sturgeon for showing exceptional bravery when he attended The Rangers Fan bus crash in 2016 whilst trying to save the lives of those on board.

Aiden Lynch
Aiden has had a long-standing interest in joining the emergency services. His passion for medical care began after completing a first aid course at work, and he quickly became active on the Good Sam app, responding to over 20 calls in just one year to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service at cardiac arrests. Through his connections in Police Scotland, Aiden found out about Safe Killie and joined our Safe Killie Street Medic response team and has rapidly progressed to become one of our Operational Team Leaders. He hopes to join Police Scotland in the coming months.

Alexia Gillion
Alexia's passion for caring for others began while completing her HNC in nursing, where she gained early clinical experience across healthcare settings, including hospital and casualty environments. She then went on to work in a nursing home part time, developing strong clinical skills, and a keen passion for helping others. She later worked across Scotland as an agency healthcare worker, progressing into a senior role that strengthened her leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
She joined ER Medical as a Safe Killie Street Medic after seeing us in the town centre, which led to her taking responsibility for social media content and media communications. She is currently studying Nursing at Glasgow Caledonian University and plans to continue developing her skills, with the goal of progressing into emergency nursing.
