 Operation SafeKillie is a new initiative in East Ayrshire focused on improving safety in Kilmarnock town centre. Bringing together local authorities, emergency services, and community organisations, the scheme aims to reduce antisocial behaviour, support frontline workers, and create a safer environment, particularly during busy weekends and evenings.

Each person brings unique skills and experiences that help enhance the quality and reach of our service.

The medical street team itself is made up of trained individuals from a wide range of clinical and healthcare backgrounds, including First Aiders, FREC 3 and FREC 4 responders, Ambulance Technicians, Nurses & Paramedics.

Our operational times are:  

Friday - 19:00 to 02:30 

Saturday - 19:00 to 04:00

We will also be present during key community events, including: Easter Sunday, Halloween, Hogmanay, Major football days & Other large-scale local gatherings.

 Through increased visibility of support teams, better coordination between services, and a focus on prevention and early intervention, Our goal is to protect both the public and frontline workers, while easing pressure on emergency services. 


Community

We also provide free CPR demonstrations and talks to community groups, schools and at your event if requested to help ensure the goal of the Scottish governments out of hospital cardiac arrest strategy is reached to ensure members of the public know what to do when someone has a cardiac arrest outside of hospital greatly increasing the persons chance of survival.
